Grizu – Hello 2011 (66 Min. Fieberwahn Bass) Dubstep Mix

January 6, 2011
Vodpod videos no longer available.

Currently fighting the flu and high fever, Grizu recorded a new freestyle Dubstep mix. Starts and ends with two of the biggest Grime anthems at the moment, but the rest is pure Dubstep from classics to the latest filth.

Grizu – Dubplate Classics

August 13, 2009

Just found some of the Blends, Remixes and Mashups I did back in the days.
Since there was a Dubplatecutter (www.duophonic.de) in my old neighborhood in Augsburg, I allways had 12″ onepiece exclusive vinyls for my DJ-sets. Now I found some of the tunes from this time and decided to hand them out for free.  Except the Snoop Dogg Remix, all tracks are done with an old MD-Player and two turntables only.

Snowgoons pres. German Snow remix album – Out now!

July 17, 2009

After exclusive pre-release via Mad Flava and HHV today is the official release of Snowgoons – German Snow.
DJ Illegal, Det and Waxworks took the best tracks of their two albums German Lugers and Black Snow and asked some German MCs to spit some new bars besides the original US-Rappers. Unfortionately Baby Grande records owns the rights on the original beats. So after recording the new bars and finishing the remix album the Snowgoons had to delay the first releasedate in March 2009 and remix the beats too. The final version which is something between a street mixtape and remix album is officially out now!

Available via Mad Flava, HHV, MZEE, Amazon, iTunes Store and more. Keep your eyes open and support some real HipHop without blingbling-attitudes or ringtone-beats.

Smooth HipHop, French Pop Mashup & Dubstep

June 7, 2009

Tracklist:

1.) Fiva MC – Immer Noch (Grizu Remix)
2.) Pony Pony Run Run – Hey You (Grizu RD09 Edit)
3.) Grizu – Marbylonian (Minimal Dub)
4.) Grizu – Dub Döner (F*** Maxstrasse Anthem)

Download:
[22MB ZIP-File]

The first track is a smooth HipHop song. Then I mashed up Pony Pony Run Run from France with some Rapper’s Delight 2009 Flavor. Marbylonian just was my first track with NI Maschine right after unboxing this beast. The last track features some Vocals from a TV newsbreak about a stupid new law in my old hometown Augsburg, where you are not allowed to eat and drink outside at night anymore.

Dubstep is dead!?

May 26, 2009

Over here in Germany it seems that Dubstep is somehow taken over by the Reggae-Scene, but to be honest meditation and smoking weed in the club isn’t what I call having a party. I’ve been bored last night and decided to give Dubstep another chance and record a quick little mix. Only 30 minutes, but more than 15 tunes in the mix. Nothing big, but sure something different.

Playlist? Download?
Maybe on MySpace later. You can also find a Baltimore Club Mix there with 40 tracks in 60 minutes.

Controllerism with a Vestax VCI-300

May 18, 2009

To kick off as a contributor for this new blog I start with posting this video. It shows me looking for ideas to work out for a Controllerism routine with the Vestax VCI-300 Midicontroller and Serato ITCH software.

This is some stuff I’m still working on:

-Playing drums with the CUE-buttons and creating melodies using the pitchfader at the same time
-Backspins with a little help of cuepoints, so you don’t have to turn the jogwheels to get back at the same point of a track
-Cutting tracks into pieces and rearange them using the cuepoints or play new melodies like I did
-Using Ean Golden’s tempo trick in a different way
-Basic Scratches just to show that reacts like regular vinyl without any latency
